2 new elements!
In the year 2003, scientists in California discovered 2 new elements. They called them superhevies because of their large mass. They are numbers 113 and 115. When tested, they lasted a little more than a second. They then shipped them to Russia. The scientists in Russia found that every once in a while, a calcium ion fused with an americium ion. That's what got them the 115 icotope. The two new element names are ununtrium and ununpentium. Before they can be written to the periodic table, they have to go through further testing. Elements 113 and 115 are a way to show scientists that there are new elements to be found.
